HOW TO GET STARTED

In order to access RIDE COMMAND+ features, your Indian Motorcycle must fit or come installed with the In-Dash Display powered by RIDE COMMAND and RIDE COMMAND+ connectivity. Once installed, RIDE COMMAND+ will be available for free for one year after it has been activated.

2020-2024 Indian Motorcycles

Select Indian Motorcycles that are pre-installed with RIDE COMMAND+ or have been upgraded to include the service, come with a free year of connected features, after which an annual fee applies. To activate this trial once connectivity is available, follow these steps:

1.) Create or sign into your Indian Motorcycle Account on the Indian Motorcycle app or RIDE COMMAND website.
2.) Using the same account information, sign in on your vehicle's In-Dash Display.
3.) On your vehicle's display, toggle the Weather & Traffic feature ON.

Connected services should now be active and your free trial has begun.

2025 or Newer Indian Motorcycles

Select 2025 Indian Motorcycles come pre-installed with a RIDE COMMAND+ Telecommunications Unit (TCU) that is an enhanced version of the connectivity platform. The TCU includes a free year of connected features, after which an annual fee applies, once the vehicle has been activated and completes a proof of possession process. To unlock the TCU and begin your free trial, follow these steps:

1.) Download the Indian Motorcycle App
2.) Log In or Create an Indian Motorcycle Account
3.) Add Your Bike to the Virtual Garage
4.) Visit the RIDE COMMAND+ Tab
5.) Complete Proof of Possession and Activate RIDE COMMAND+

Prep your bike by:

Checking your cellular connection. RIDE COMMAND+ is compatible with most smart phones.

Moving the bike to a location with a strong GPS signal. This area is typically not under or surrounded by any structures (specifically metal structures), is in a location where cell phones work well, is not underground, etc.
On your display, select Maps and locate the navigation arrow. If the arrow is gray, power cycle the vehicle and move to an area with an unobstructed overhead view. Once the navigation arrow turns red, the display has acquired GPS signal. If problems persist, check connections on the GPS receiver on the display or see your dealer.

For the 7" Display specifically, determine how many satellites are connected. Select Main Menu > Vehicle Settings > GPS Status to see how many satellites are currently connected. If the status has less than four satellites shown, move to an area with an unobstructed overhead view. If problems persist, check connections on the GPS antenna on the display or see your dealer.
Log in to your Indian Motorcycle account on the RIDE COMMAND website.

From the Home page, select MAP & SOFTWARE UPDATES from the left side of the screen. Or from the Garage page, select MAPS & SOFTWARE UPDATES.

Select the Touring and Bagger option or the Chief option, depending on which vehicle you have. Note: RIDE COMMAND+ is not available on model year 2019 and older vehicles or on the 4.3" Display.

Select the RENEW SUBSCRIPTION tab. This will take you to a screen, shown below, where you can:
a.) Renew or start your RIDE COMMAND+ subscription.
b.) Check the status of your subscription.

Your subscription expiration date will show at the bottom of the screen.
To renew your RIDE COMMAND+ subscription, purchase part number 2830610.

To experience all of the RIDE COMMAND+ features, add your bike to your Garage and then log in to your account on your bike’s display by following the steps below.

Turn on the display powered by RIDE COMMAND.

Open the badge panel by tapping on the Indian Motorcycle logo at the top of the screen and select ALL SETTINGS.

From the GENERAL tab, select RIDE COMMAND ACCOUNT.

Select ACCOUNT ID and enter the email used for your RIDE COMMAND account.
Select Indian Motorcycles that come pre-installed with a display may not contain GPS navigation, mapping features or connected services like Apple CarPlay®. You can upgrade your display to include these features by purchasing the Navigation and RIDE COMMAND+ bundle on our e-commerce site.
